After graduation with B.Arch, I worked for about 3 years, from Dec 2014 to May 2018 as an Architect, with a few leading design firms in Goa and New Delhi. Grounded in Goa, Behal Joshi and Associates and Babbar and Babbar Architects in New Delhi. I made good progress in design and detailing by 2018. In my last firm, i was at a senior position and was managing projects with consultnats very well, however at a point, I realised the importance of sustainable design practices and how we lacked any strategies and wanted to learn more in the field, which led me to pursue a masters degree in Sydney, Australia.
I am currently looking for work in Sydney as a Sustainable design architect or an ESD (Ecologically Sustainable Development) Engineer/ consultant. I have had the opportunity to visit the Technical University of Munich and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany for a study trip and exchange program with a scholarship from the German government (DAAD scholarship). I have also had the privilege to attend lectures and visit notable projects in the field of pioneering sustainable design, such as Rolf Disch’s solar heliotrope and meeting and learning from industry leaders such as Thomas Auer, Director of Transsolar, a leading climate engineering firm in Germany. I hope to spread the knowledge I have gained successfully in practice.
Thank you for the strong foundation and exposure during our studies, with all the priceless study tours, settlement study trip and vertical studios which helped us widen our horizon and also for encouraging us to learn in a more hands-on approach. ie. ‘learning by doing’ approach.
